KATE BOUCHER, 'The image not yet taken' series, number 32, 2020
From a series where I asked a photographer to send me their rejected, photographs from one of their own series. I didn’t want to work from images that they had ‘seen’ something in, but rather find my own drawing(s) in their recordings of a landscape I couldn’t visit during lockdown. This is a very small section of a very high resolution digital image. It became a drawing of a more universal yearning of places missed and remembered.
Charcoal drawing on paper. 2020
The paper is a beautiful Italian, handmade paper.
Unframed size: 21cm x 15cm
AVAILABLE UNFRAMED
